Biography


Tyler Lewis,

​Baroque Violin

Tyler Lewis received his B.M. from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, specializing in Baroque music and performing with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, American Bach Soloists, Live Oak Baroque Orchestra,  San Diego Bach Collegium, Musikanten Montana, Folger Consort and other Baroque ensembles in the United  States.  Tyler has been a part of Napa Valley’s Festival Del Sole, St. Paul’s International Music Festival, China’s Festival of Spring, NYC Lincoln Theatre's Mostly Mozart, Victory Bach Festival, Tangelwood Music Festival, Norfolk Music Festival, and the Napa Shakespeare Festival, to name a few.  Tyler is also a member of the Sylvestris Quartet, a historically informed String quartet.  

During the year Tyler is a violin instructor for Simply Strings, an El Sistema program in Santa Rosa, ca.  Seasonally Tyler is an evaluator for the Music Teachers Association of California’s merit program, and operates a private violin studio located in Sant Rosa, ca. With his spare time he enjoys nights under the stars with a telescope, cooking, lapidary and racing motorcycles.
